Edgar Mönch immigrated to Canada from Germany in 1965. He settled in Toronto from where he continued building great guitars.

He was one of the twentieth century's notable luthiers, with players like Andres Segovia & Julian Bream playing & recording his instruments (Bream recorded his classic ´Guitar Concertos´ for RCA in 1960 with a 1959 Mönch).

This is a great sounding instrument, that was used for many recordings and concerts, by the well know Montreal classical guitarist Sydney Vrana.

The Spruce top has matured beautifully, it offers the player a great dynamic range with a wide color palette that is very easy to control…

A part of sounding good, it is also a great collection piece….
