Dear friends of the guitar,

The Montreal International Classical Guitar Festival and Compétition has now reached it’s 9th edition, and the theme for the event this year will be : “The Guitarists-Composers. 

Our distinguished guests, namely Roddy Ellias, Simone Iannarelli, and Andrew Zohn, will dazzle you, both with their technical mastery of the instrument, as well as with their creative talent, the later having already blessed us with some of the finest works to be included in the modern classical guitar repertoire.

The festival will also welcome this year : the guitarist Shon Boublil, Dave Pilon and the Montreal Guitar Society’s Orchestra, as well as the guitarist-composer Haralabos Stafylakis. 

On the side of the judges, for the competitions, we have the honor of welcoming this year at the festival the guitarists Detlev Bork and Jeffrey McFadden.
